Quicken
A couple of weeks ago I moved my finances from Microsoft Money on my XP machine to Quicken for Mac. This was almost the last step in my migration to the Mac. The only thing I really use on the Windows machine now is Stamps.com, who unfortunately have no plans for a Mac client. So my Windows machine at last spends most of its time turned off. Yay!
I don’t think I need to say much about Quicken for Mac since Quicken has been as established major app for a long time. I will say that I find it significantly better than Microsoft Money (to be fair I am running Money 2005), with a lot more useful features including the neat Dashboard widget. This to me is a perfect example of the use of the Dashboard – the ability to quickly enter transactions into any Quicken account/register without launching the entire app. Great.

Hi there! My name is Kadey and I’ve started a blog titled Strange Fruit. It’s a blog focusing on my transition from Windows to Mac. I found your blog and noticed how similar it is to mine, and I was wondering if it would be okay to put a link to your blog on my page.
Thanks!

Hello Kadey, sure thing. I’ll subscribe to your blog and put a link to yours in my blogroll if that is ok? We should do everything we can to assist poor Windows-sufferers to discover the delights of the Mac.
